Hol’ up! Roomies, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz might just be relationship goals. In a previous interview with US Magazine, Swizz said he and Alicia “never had an argument,” but social media quickly weighed in, calling cap on those claims and finding it hard to believe they’ve never disagreed. Now, Alicia Keys is stepping in to shut down the trolls who don’t think it’s possible.
TMZ caught up with Alicia Keys recently, and she made it clear she’s not stressing over what the trolls say. The singer stood ten toes down behind her hubby, saying, “I don’t know what anyone’s talking about,” Keys said while smiling and looking unbothered. “Me and my baby is on fire.”
The ‘Fallin’ singer’s reaction gives off major “happily married vibes,” making it seem like Swizz’s claims might actually be true.
Just last month, Swizz chopped it up with US Magazine and dropped some tea on his marriage to Alicia Keys as they get close to 15 years strong. The power couple tied the knot in July 2010. While speaking with US Mag, Swizz Beatz gave props to their solid communication, saying that’s the real reason why things have never blown up between them.
Marriage is definitely a big word, but look at it like your best friend. The communication is there. Weve never had an argument. Since weve been together, our kids have never seen it; never seen us raise our voice or never seen us yell. Never seen us curse at each other. Why? Because of communication,”Swizz explained.
Swizz also broke down how he and Alicia keep their vibe strong and avoid letting the spark fade after all these years.
People think they can own people. You cant. Its not property that you own. Theres a whole human, right? So, were very clear on that. Shes her own boss. Im my own boss. Thats how we make magic when we come together. I think that helps because people start getting very territorial and making their partner property, and I think thats the biggest mistake,” the rapper added.
One thing Alicia and Swizz will do is turn up together! They proved that while celebrating Alicia’s 44th birthday on a private jet on January 25. In clips that appeared on the ‘gram, Alicia cozied up next to her man, sippin’ what looked like champagne as she looked at him cheesin’. Peep the photo below.
