We are about to see a whole lot more of #AngelaRye on our TVs yall! Miss #WokeBae is has signed on to host and executive produce her own news show called Angela Ryes State of the Union. It will air on BET and, and according to @Blavity, its set up to be “a rebuttal to President Trumps State of the Union address airing Wednesday, January 31st.” Its scheduled to air quarterly as a series exploring issues that affect Black America.
Working with BET always provides a reminder of why I began to do this work, Rye tells Blavity. It is essential that we have platforms where we can discuss our politics, our challenges, and our culture through our respective lenses. The upcoming special will provide a glimpse of whats to come with our partnership.
#MarcLamontHill has also renewed his contract with BET and will be working very closely with Angela on this show.
