Roommates, the internet is buzzing, wondering if Angela Simmons is stepping into a new era. The entrepreneur just dropped her first single, ‘Run To,’ with a music video, and social media is NOT holding back on their reactions.
First it was fashion, then it was reality television, and now it’s music at this point, Angela Simmons is the ultimate hustler. She’s stepping into her music bag with her first single, ‘Run To,’ and she didn’t do it alone Jadakiss and an artist Resa joined her on the track. ‘Run To’ officially drops at midnight, but fans were able to get a lil’ preview of the song on Instagram.The visuals show her in front of what looks like a brownstone in New York City, walking along a waterfront, and standing alongside Jadakiss. During her interview with The Breakfast Club, Angela Simmons told the hosts she’s doing spoken word on the track and signed with Ruff Ryders for this single.
Once the internet got a lil’ taste of Angela’s single and music video, The Shade Room’s comment section exploded with reactions. Some folks said they were scratching their heads, trying to figure out how Angela got into music, while others gave her props for stepping out of her comfort zone and trying something new.

While chatting with The Breakfast Club, Angela Simmons said she’s been sitting on a few tracks for a minute and spent some creative time in the studio putting ‘Run To’ together. Even though she comes from a music family with her dad Rev Run in Run D.M.C. and her brother Jojo Simmons also rapping in the past, Angela said she never planned to do music, though she’s always loved it. She also shared that she’s planning a full project that will feature a mix of different artists.“I started this like 2 years ago and this one I just felt led to put out. It was all timing and alignment and all the pieces started to come together,” Angela explained.
