Apple Announces New iMacs Featuring Vibrant Color Designs And Touch ID

One thing Apple is seemingly good at is finding new ways to appeal to their customers. That’s probably the reason the company has successfully sold 12 series of their signature iPhone! Now, Apple is giving its customers another reason to spend money with them. On Tuesday, they announced an all-new iMac that has some serious, design swag to it. The iMac will be available in seven colors including “green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue and silver.” And yes, Apple will have color-matched accessories for the iMac such as a Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard.

The colors are meant to “match a user’s personal style and brighten any space,” Apple said in a statement posted to their official site.

But spicing up your space isn’t the only exciting upgrade to the computer. The upgraded iMac is also super thin, 11.5 millimeters thin to be exact. Apple said the computer “practically disappears” when looked at from a side profile angle.

The California-based business also poured some funds into upgrading the iMac’s functions. The new screen is built with your viewing pleasure in mind. It measures 24 inches and features a 4.5K Retina display that adjusts in color depending on the environment. For my tech nerds who love the details, the screen also has “11.3 million pixels, 500 nits of brightness and over a billion colors.” All of that leads to “a brilliant and vivid viewing experience,” according to Apple.

The iMac also reportedly runs smooth and speedy — thanks to its M1 chip. To put it in context, a user can have hundreds of tabs open in Safari while still using other apps.

Additionally, Apple implemented the Touch ID feature to the new iMac for the first time ever. It can be used similarly to its function on the latest iPhone models. The Touch ID can be used to unlock the computer, make Apply Pay purchases or switch easily between user profiles.

Apple’s official site will begin taking orders for the new iMac on April 30th with prices ranging between $1,249 and $1,499.
