Arizona Woman Accused Of Stalking And Sending 65,000 Text Messages To A Man After Their First Date

An Arizona woman has been accused of stalking after she met a man online and described him as her “soulmate.”

According to USA Today, Jacqueline Ades was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of stalking and harassing a man she met online.

Maricopa County court documents revealed the two met last summer shortly after meeting on a dating website.

Ades visited the man’s home and office while flooding his phone with multiple text messages, with some of the messages being threatening. She is suspected to have sent him around at least 500 messages a day, totaling it all up to at least 65,000.

During an interview on Thursday, Ades told reporters, “I felt like I met my soulmate and I thought we would just do what everybody else did and we would get married and everything would be fine.”

Police said the man called authorities last year when he found her sitting outside of his home, and she was escorted from the property. Following that incident, that’s when the messages started to become threatening.

The man made another call to authorities last month after surveillance footage showed Ades in his home while he was out of the country.

According to documents Police arrested Ades last month after they found her taking a bath in the man’s home and a large knife sitting in the passenger seat of her car.

Ades now faces charges of threatening and intimidating, stalking, and harassment. She is being held without bond.

Needless to say, this all sounds like something straight out of a scary movie.
