Ashanti and Nelly are enjoying their baby boy! She recently shared additional photos from KK‘s second birthday party, held in July. And the parents had fans swooning in the comment section over their big smiles and seemingly great energy!
As said, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes turned two this past July, but Ashanti held back on sharing moments from his celebration until September. On Tuesday (Sept. 29), she dropped a photo dump offering a closer look at KK’s custom dark blue Micky Mouse shorts set. The photos show the toddler in both his daddy’s and mommy’s arms as they both don huge smiles! Some of the images show KK playing inside a balloon igloo, going down a slide and riding in a train cart. She captioned the post, “Magical family moments.”
This isn’t the first time Mama Ashanti has posted about her baby boy’s second birthday. On Sept. 19, she shared a recap video featuring a custom theme song. The clip shows kiddos enjoying a custom ‘KK Turns Two’ party, rooted in the color blue. There appeared to be carnival games like basketball, ball pits, costumed characters like Mickey Mouse and Bluey, bounce houses and fireworks with the birthday cake. Kids are seen dancing, enjoying bubbles and food booths. At one point, Ashanti and Nelly are seen dancing together.
“We can not believe our little heart beat is two years old!!!! The joy and love you bring is more than we could have ever dreamed of. Mommy and Daddy celebrate you every single day and we are so blessed to celebrate your 2nd birthday, surrounded by family, friends, and an abundance of love and laughter. Happy Birthday KK!!!!! Mommy and Daddy love you infinitely,” Ashanti wrote. Adding, “Yeah.. I know Im super late July 2026 KK TWO FAST ”
In Ashanti’s comment section, fans and even celebs like Tamar Braxton showered the couple and KK with love. Others defended the mother’s right to block out the toddler’s face with a blue heart, while a few argued that the edit is “doing too much.” The couple have not publicly revealed KK’s face following his birth.
@mizauntdee, for example, commented, “Stop Trying to tell Mrs Haynes When to Show HER Son…..She Carried him for 9 Months, Birthed him and is Raising him; she can Wait until he’s in HS if she Makes that Choice. She doesn’t have to do anything she doesn’t feel comfortable doing.”
@qtpie617 added, “Lol ppl not mad they won’t post the baby face its just annoying putting that crazy sticker over his face. Its MY opinion too, just dont post him, post yall celebrating at his party. But whatever .”
