Azealia Banks Pens Emotional Apology to Zayn Malik

If you guys recall, back in May Azealia Banks started a Twitter war with former One Directioner, Zayn Malik…which was later ended by Skai Jackson, but we won’t go there right now. Basically, Banks alleged that Malik plagiarized her work and leaked her phone number to his fans. From there, she kept tweeting jabs at him such as “Dude, I make better music than you. Simmer down with that fake white boy rebellion and that wannabe beiber swag.” He replied “My @’s too good for you,” to which Banks replied “Lol u a bitch n–ga for even responding like that. Keep sucking this yung rapunxel d–k u hairy curry scented bitch.”

Fast forward to this week where Banks accused actor, Russell Crowe, of throwing her out of a party and calling her the “N-word” with her claims being shut all the way down by RZA (who invited her), it appears that the stress has caused Banks to do some self reflection and wants to apologize for…anything but all of that. Banks’ team sent US Magazine a very *emotional* letter that she has penned to Zayn Malik in which she apologizes for antagonizing him earlier this year. “There are no words that can fully express how sorry I am. Recent events have taught me the importance of taking accountability for one’s actions,” the letter reads. “I want and need to say I am sorry, I was wrong.”

She continued to explain that she’s experienced discrimination “as a black woman” and felt terrible for going in on him as a man of color. “At times, I am so consumed by my own struggle, and the struggle of my race, that I forget to consider the hardships other minorities continue to endure,” Banks explained. “Coming from an ethnicity that is largely discriminated against does not warrant a license to use derogatory, abusive terminology nor does it give me the right to make hurtful remarks. I apologize not only to you, Zayn, but to all those I hurt and offended. I am not cruel, nor am I heartless or vindictive. There is a lot of love in my heart and there is good in my soul. What I did was wrong and I am committed to being a better person.”

In conclusion, Banks essentially thanks Malik for paying her nasty tweets and attributes it to him being a gentleman. “Throughout my transgressions you remained a gentleman and I applaud you for displaying class and maintaining a level head. The world can learn a lot from you and I hope you find room in your heart to accept my sincerest apologies.”

Y’all can read the letter in its entirety below. Roommates, please pray for Bruja Banks.
