Ben Carson Tests Positive For COVID-19 Days After Attending An Election Party At The White House

It looks like the rona is still on the loose when it comes to the White House. It has now been revealed that Ben Carson, the secretary of housing and urban development (HUD) has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to CBS News, Carson’s Deputy Chief of Staff Coalter Baker said, “Secretary Carson is in good spirits and feels fortunate to have access to effective therapeutics which aid and markedly speed his recovery.”

Over the weekend, officials confirmed that chief of staff Mark Meadows also tested positive for the virus along with four other unnamed White House staffers. It is unclear when they were first diagnosed, but they were among the people that attended the White House’s election party.

This is not the first time people have contracted the virus after attending an event at the White House.

If you all can recall, there were several people who tested positive for the virus after attending an event in the Rose Garden at the White House in support of Amy Coney Barrett who is now the Supreme Court Justice. Some of those people included the White House Kellyanne Conway and Kayleigh Mcenany. This was also around the same time Donald Trump and Melania also tested positive for the virus.

It was also noted that Ben Carson was taken to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after experiencing some symptoms, but he is no longer in the hospital. His chief of  staff said, “He is resting at his house and is already beginning to feel better.”
