Benzino Surrenders To Authorities Following Warrant Issued For Altercation With Ex-Girlfriend Althea Heart & Her Boyfriend

Roommates, Benzino has turned himself in following a warrant for his arrest, according to All Hip Hop. The rapper and former owner of ‘The Source’ warrant stems from a July 2020 incident between his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child Althea Heart and her boyfriend. Althea’s boyfriend claimed Benzino punched his truck. If you recall, during the incident in Braselton, Georgia, the two men exchanged words after the couple returned from a walk around the neighborhood. When Althea and her man were finished, Zino met them at the man’s truck.

Zino allegedly approached the man in a “threatening and harassing manner during the altercation.”Reports show that when the rapper was arrested, he was charged with one count of second-degree criminal damage and one count of disorderly conduct. Zino recently spoke with All Hip Hop to explain the situation stating,

“I was kind of arguing with the guy she was with at the time. Long story short, the case was like two years ago, and somebody put that old video up, and it got me kind of arguing with him.”

Following the incident, Zino was ordered to appear in court via Zoom in April but missed the date after testing positive for COVID-19.

So, I have to turn myself in on Monday to the fugitive squad,” Zino added.

Unfortunately, the drama didn’t stay between the parties and the police. He quickly made headlines as the footage of his recent arrest made headlines. At this time, no information about bail is available. Roommates, we will keep you updated with more information involving this case!
