Billy Dee Williams Comes Out As Gender Fluid At 82

With the new #StarWars movie on the way (I know yall see those baby Yoda memes everywhere), fans are looking forward to surprises and recently, they received one about one of the films stars off-screen.In an interview with Esquire, actor Billy Dee Williams, most known for playing the beloved Star Wars character Lando Calrissian, revealed his gender fluidity at the age of 82.

Billy, who also starred in Lady Sings the Blues and Batman, described his legacy as a colorful character who doesnt take himself or herself too seriously.

I never tried to be anything except myself, Billy told Esquire. And you see I say himself and herself, because I also see myself as feminine as well as masculine…Im a very soft person. Im not afraid to show that side of myself.

It also appears Billy saw his Lando character in that same light. In his interview with Billy, Esquires Matt Miller pointed out how Donald Glover, who played a young Calrissian in last years Solo: A Star Wars Story, described the character as pansexual.

Yeah, hes coming on to everybody, Glover said of Calrissian during an interview last year with SiriusXM after Solo writers confirmed the characters pansexuality, according to the Huffington Post.

He continued: I feel like if youre in space its kind of like, the door is open! Its like, no, only guys or girls. No, its anything. This thing is literally a blob. Are you a man or a woman? Like, who cares? Have good time out here.

Billy was reportedly excited to hear about Glovers interpretation of the character.

Really? That kid is brilliant, Billy told Esquire.

Billy was met with lots of praise and support for revelation on social media.

Billy Dee Williams coming out as gender fluid at 82 years old is arguably the coolest thing he’s ever done, and he’s f****g famous for being cool, one Twitter user said.
