The start of the New Year began the official countdown until the release of the highly-anticipated Marvel film Black Panther.
Although we’re a month away from the films release, presale tickets were placed online on Monday, and they’ve already been making record-breaking numbers.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fandango has reported that Black Panther has become the best-selling Marvel Cinematic Universe movie in terms of presales after its first 24 hours.
The previous top seller was 2016s Captain America: Civil War, which introduced Chadwick Bosemans character TChalla a.k.a the Black Panther.
Lupita Nyongo, who plays Nikta in the film, took to social media on Wednesday to reveal that she was even hit with the Sold Out, sign when she tried to purchase tickets.

Tickets have been going fast ever since presales started on Fandango late Monday.
Black Panther officially hits theatres on February 16th.
