Black People’s Non-Verbal Communication Skills Are Unmatched!

#Roomies, it’s no secret that Black people are special. From cooking to our mannerisms, we are truly an experience.

One thang we do exceptionally well is non-verbal communication. Some experts say this is because of our history with slavery. We would communicate with our facial expressions to keep the powers-that-be from knowing what we were truly saying. Fast forward to 2020, we are still doing the same.

You know how it is being the only Black person at work or even at a restaurant. As soon as you see a fellow brother or sister, it’s like a family reunion is taking place.

It’s like our souls jump from joy to see someone who looks like us and most of the time can understand us also.

You may lead with a smile or even hug, but you definitely recognized one another.

Why do you think Black Twitter does so well in the caption department? It’s because we are the culture and we’ve been doing this for decades.

What started out as a method of survival is now a normal method of communication. Our ancestors passed this unique gift down to us.

We know when one of us in trouble, in need of help, and when we’re happy. This is all because we’re internally and distinctively connected.

Many thangs make me proud to be Black, and I must say that this ability is at the top of my list.

In the words of Kandi Burruss, “We see each other.”
