Black Vehicle Drives Through A Crowd Of Black Lives Matter Protesters In New York City’s Times Square

Last night a protest was taking place in the heart of New York City, and while the demonstration was taking place a black vehicle drove through the crowd.

According to CBS New York, no one was seriously injured and now police are looking for the driver who sped off from the scene. Cell phone footage showed the black car with tinted windows drive through the crowd, and police chased after it, but the driver was able to drive away.

The New York City Police Department says that there was a standoff prior between Black Lives Matter Protesters march and a pro-Trump rally. Things reportedly became heated, and police told a pro-Trump demonstrator to leave in his car. Police say that the demonstrator instead drove right through the Black Lives Matter march.

Hundreds of people gathered in Times Square as they protested against the killing of Daniel Prude.

Lora Gettelfinger, a witness at the scene said, “A black car came through the crowd and hit the person in front of me and then me and then I believe the person behind me, and we all had bikes so they just came charging through. It was pretty terrifying.”

As we previously reported, seven officers have been suspended following the release of the video of Daniel Prude’s arrest back in March. The video Prude’s arrest was released by his family and it showed him on the ground and in handcuffs. Officers placed a “spit sock” over his head as they pinned him to the ground on his stomach until he stopped breathing.
