#BlackBoyJoy: Girvan “Fly” Henry Celebrates His Birthday With “Birthday Month Of Giving” Where He Gives Back To The Community For 31 Straight Days!

#Roommates, y’all know how some people celebrate their birthday for the entire month? Girvan “Fly” Henry, CEO of Think It’s A Game Records is one of those people! But instead of the entire month of October being about him, he made his birthday month about the people. For his birthday, he launched an entire nonprofit organization (Trust In Giving) dedicated to creating “long-lasting solutions to problems faced by our youth, seniors, and families through the power of giving.” To launch the Atlanta-based foundation, he kicked off “Birthday month of giving” where he gives back to his community for 31 straight days.

Y’all, he came out going hard! He has already gifted a mother and a daughter who commute to school and work via bus a brand new car, gifted 16 new beds, mattresses, 200 towels, cleaning supplies and blinds for a local women and children’s shelter, connected more than 500 families and children to their incarcerated parents, gifted a new, furnished home to a family who are victims of domestic abuse — and that was just the first four days!

Fly says, “I wanted my birthday not to be about me, but about helping the streets that have always supported me.” Each of Fly’s acts of community service is the kinds of acts that put the unity back in community. He is bridging gaps not only in the community but within families and workplaces. Furthermore, he is changing lives intentionally and purposefully.
