Boosie is standing on some “he said what he said” energy after a screenshot of a DM showed him telling a social media user that transgender women aren’t welcome at his upcoming pool party. The message guickly sparked reactions across social media, and now the rapper is speaking to explain why he’s sticking to a strict guest list.
Recently, a screenshot of an Instagram DM between Boosie and another person started making rounds online. The person hit him up asking about tickets to his topless pool party on June 20, and Boosie pointed them to the link his bio. After that, the person asked if “Trans r allowed.” That’s when Boosie responded, saying, “No sorry no tranny ms r allowed.”
After Boosie’s response about denying trans people entry to his pool party sparked reaCtions, he hopped online to address the backlash. He said it’s his event, so he can make the rules. He even compared it to stadiums requiring clear bags and restaurants banning ripped jeans.
“These people own this establishment and its certain things they don’t go for.” He continued, “But now y’all want to say your gay and bully people. Y’all fought for gay rights for 20, 30 years, we said nothing. Maybe we should fight for straight rights.”
Additionally, he said he has some high profile guests coming and wants to protect their reputations. “If I’m not going for it, I’m not going for it. Simple as that! I’m protecting people’s reputation.”
Once The Shade Room dropped the videos of Boosie addressing the pool party controversy, the Roomies jumped into the comment section fast. Plenty of folks said people need to respect his rules, however others feel he should refrain from speaking on the LGBTQ+ community.
