Bow Wow is setting the record straight about his romance with Jade Pinkett, yes, the niece of Jada Pinkett Smith. In his sit-down interview with Shannon Sharpe on ‘Club Shay Shay,’ the rapper and actor gets candid about their relationship. While he kept some details close to the chest, Bow Wow didnt shy away from hinting that marriage might not be off the table.
Its a whole vibe on Club Shay Shay as Bow Wow joins Shannon Sharpe for a no-holds-barred conversation. The performer, whos been a staple in the entertainment industry since his childhood, was the latest guest on Wednesdays episode of the hit podcast.
During the conversation, Bow Wow opens up about everything, including his current boo. And, the internet’s buzzing after he discussed his future with Jade Pinkett, the niece of Jada Pinkett Smith. Bow Wow admits he thought the relationship was lowkey and was caught off guard when Shannon brought it up joking that he didnt even think Sharpe knew.
In response to Shannon asking if hes finally interested in getting married, something Bow Wow has publicly been opposed to, the ‘Like You’ rapper said,
Me and her, weve had these talks. He continues, Im not against anything, but when I get to that point, or if I ever do get to that point, I want to make sure Im right. And, thats not only a commitment to [her] thats a commitment to God. And, I dont play with stuff like that.
While Bow Wow admits that he doesn’t want to “talk about” or “plan” a wedding at the moment, he is prioritizing “fun” and travel with Jade.
As previously reported by The Shade Room, the duo were first linked back on New Year’s Eve. Bow Wow seemingly rang in 2025 with a soft launch of his new relationship. The rapper appeared on Instagram Stories alongside Jade Pinkett being cozy. The photo showed the two celebrating together, sparking immediate buzz. Jade captioned her post, New Years, Yr 2 for the books, hinting that the pair have been going strong behind the scenes for at least a year. Bow Wow, on the other hand, kept it low-key and simply reposted the pic without a caption.
While little is known about the relationship, the reveal stirred up plenty of conversation online. Furthermore, Bow Wows dating history has long been a topic of scrutiny. He’s had several high-profile relationships, including Erica Mena and Ciara, and has children with Joie Chavis and model Olivia Sky.
Bow Wow kept it all the way real when Shannon Sharpe pressed him about encouraging Nelly to marry Ashanti, despite not being married himself. “You urged Nelly to marry Ashanti. How you gonna tell somebody to do something that you aint wanna do? Shannon playfully asked. Bow Wow didnt flinch, responding, Well, [Nelly] 50 plus. Its like Im 38. He kept it real as he spoke on seeing Nelly and Ashanti reconnect during the viral ‘Verzuz’ battle. I saw him during the ‘Verzuz,’ he ran across the stage to get her. I know how much she means to him.
Bow Wow made it clear theres nothing but love between him and Nelly, calling the rapper his big brother. He reiterated, I just know how much that woman means to him. The rapper added, I mean, I saw my man with the band on. He locked in. While Bow Wow stayed a little mysterious about his future with his current boo, Jade Pinkett he gave props to Nelly for stepping up.
