Breaking Barriers: Laverne Cox Lands Lead Role In A New CBS Legal Drama

While Cox is chasing a check, and also making it a constant effort to preach about the ambiguity behind being transgender, Cox can now add another source of income to her checkbook.

After not being picked up the first time. According to Complex, a new CBS legal drama called Doubt has just gotten the green light! But the best part about all of this is that Cox will be playing a role that is actually about a transgender character, which makes her the first trans actress to play a trans main character in a broadcast series!

Shoutout to Cox, honey! In the new show, she will play an Ivy League educated woman named Cameron Wirth. Wirth’s character is being described as competitive and fierce and about helping her clients
fight for injustice, according to Variety!

Cox will star alongside Katherine Heigl and Steven Pasquale.
