On Saturday, June 7, Renner shared details about her split from Gates during an interview with Real 923 LA. She revealed, We got married April 6 and divorced May 28, which left the host visibly surprised. When he sought clarification, asking, So, youre divorced, Renner confidently confirmed, Yes.
The 33-year-old explained the Islamic divorce process, noting, There is a 90-day waiting period in Islam where its basically, you have 90 days to see if youre pregnant because then, you know, he would be responsible.
Brittany further elaborated on her alleged divorce from Kevin, saying that in those 90 days, its for reconciliation because Allah wants you to stay married, highlighting the opportunity for reflection and potential reunion.
The influencer emphasized her commitment to staying single during this period, stating shes focusing on herself with no dating or drama. She also expressed gratitude for her faith, saying, Islam has made my life a lot easier, and described the waiting period as a nice 90-day reset, just focusing on myself and pouring into myself.
Reflecting on her choices, she stood firm, declaring she followed her heart, “and thats more than what most people can say in this world. And I have no shame in that.

Just weeks ago in early May, Brittany Renner was all in her feels at the ‘Basketball Wives LA’ premiere alongside Kevin Gates. She gushed that his name echoes in every chamber of my heart, describing their love as hard to put into words.

Gates and Renner first popped out in public back in March when she accompanied her now-ex for his stream link-up with DDG. At the time, it wasn’t clear why Brittany was there, but everything became clearer when the two were then posted up on Gates’ Instagram shortly after.
On April 2, Kevin shared a video clip of himself singing along to Soul For Real’s ‘Candy Rain’ while seated in the back of an SUV. As the camera panned, Gates revealed he was sitting next to Renner, whose hand he was noticeably holding. Seconds later, the pair broke out cackling. “I hope this makes somebody smile today bae u know im goofy,” he wrote in the caption.
Interestingly, though, Gates has never touched on his situation with Brittany Renner and never answered fans’ burning questions about where he stands with his wife,Dreka Gates. To this day, he still hasn’t confirmed or denied anything and spoke on what led him to supposedly pursue a romance with Brittany.
