CBS Launches An Internal Review After Sharon Osbourne’s Heated Discussion With Her Co-Hosts On ‘The Talk’ Over Her Support For Piers Morgan

It has been a very eventful week, to say the least. As many of you know, Sharon Osbourne faced some backlash after she publicly showed her support for Piers Morgan who highly criticized Meghan Markle after her Oprah interview.

The discussion of Sharon’s support made its way to her daytime talk show, “The Talk,” and eventually that led to an intense discussion with her co-hosts. Sharon has since apologized, but it looks like an investigation into the episode has been launched.

According to Deadline, late Friday, CBS said in a statement, “We are committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace. All matters related to the Wednesday episode of The Talk are currently under internal review.”

A clip of Sharon raising her voice at her co-host Sheryl Underwood started to go viral as she said, “I will ask you again Sheryl… and don’t try and cry because if anyone should be crying, it should be me. This is the situation, you tell me where you have heard him say racist things. Educate me.”

As previously reported, Sharon released a formal apology and said, “After some reflection, after sitting with your comments and sitting with my heart I would like to address the discussion on ‘The Talk,’ this past Wednesday. I have always been embraced with so much love and support from the black community and I have deep respect and love for the black community.”

Holly Robinson Peete also spoke out and alleged that Sharon complained that she was “too ghetto” for the daytime talk show and then she was “gone.”
