Ceaser Emanuel Of ‘Black Ink Crew’ Ordered To Pay $114K For Unpaid Wages | TSR Investigates

Ceaser Emanuel, the star of the hit TV show ‘Black Ink Crew, has come under serious accusations from a former employee. Venus Cuffs alleges she was never paid for her work at his famed tattoo studio. Additionally, Cuffs reportedly filed a complaint for unpaid wages with the New York Department of Labor.

Ultimately, the department reportedly ruled that Emanuel had to pay up at least $114,000, to be exact.

However, Cuffs is now alleging that Emanuel still hasn’t coughed up her money. And she may not be the only one with these allegations.

Will Ceasar Emanuel be held accountable for his alleged actions?

Well, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is looking into things on ‘TSR Investigates.’

More Details On The Allegations Of Unpaid Wages Against Ceaser Emanuel

According to Carter, Emanuel was reportedly cut from the cast of ‘Black Ink Crew’ in 2022. At the time, footage was released of the tattoo artist abusing a dog. Despite this, Emanuel reportedly kept his role as a producer on the show until it was canceled the following year.

Despite the turn of events, Cuffs says she was “doing everything” at the shop and needs her just due.

“Ceaser had a reputation for being quite a bit cheap,” Cuffs told Carter while reflecting on her time at the shop and explaining why she stayed despite allegedly not being paid for her work. “A lot of promises were made… we were kind of told… ‘You could be managing this shop here. You could be working for me here…'”

Here’s How The ‘Black Ink Crew’ Star Has Reportedly Responded To The Allegations

According to Cuffs, after she was fired, she immediately filed her complaint. In turn, Emanuel allegedly said she “never worked” at his shop and that her allegations were “fabricated.” However, in an order dated January 2021, the New York Labor Department demanded that Emanuel pay Cuffs over $114,000 in unpaid wages.

Scroll above as Carter shares the additional labor law violations Emanuel and his company were accused of and why Cuff says Emanuel’s businesses have allegedly “disappeared.” Additionally, Carter shares how the ‘Black Ink Star’ responded to The Shade Room’s request for comment on the allegations and court records.
