Born in Boca Raton, Florida, Grande loved acting from a very early age. She performed in various plays and musicals in school and at local theaters, including the musical 13 on Broadway in 2008.
The musical won her a National Youth Theatre Association Award and propelled her to the small screen. She appeared on Cuba Libre and The Battery’s Down, both small TV shows, before heading to another TV show that propelled her to success.
In 2009, Grande got the part of Cat Valentine in Nickelodeon’s TV show Victorious, and later in the Sam & Cat spinoff. She rose to fame when she sang a soundtrack for Victorious, which led to her signing with Republic Records in 2011.
Her immeasurable talent helped her top multiple charts with her hit singles and albums. Her single “The Way” reached multiple Top 10 charts in the United States and went triple platinum.
Grande released five albums so far, each of which received huge critical acclaim and became incredibly popular all across the globe. Her third album, Dangerous Woman, which was more pop and dance than the R&B she started out with, became her first number 1 album in the UK.
Grande received six Grammy Award nominations to date and won three American Music Awards. She was named by Time one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2016, and Billboard named her Woman of the Year in 2018.

While Grande was on her Dangerous Woman tour in Manchester, England, a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at the concert hall where she was performing. The attack resulted in 22 people being killed, while 116 were wounded. Grande held a benefit concert afterward, together with many of her colleagues.
Ariana experienced extreme heartbreak when she lost her ex-boyfriend to drug abuse. She was engaged to comedian, Pete Davidson at the time, but the engagement has since been broken off.
These days, Grande is on her Sweetener World Tour, promoting her fourth and fifth studio albums. There’s currently a rumor going around after Monopoly lyrics about her being bisexual, but she has said that she won’t label her sexuality.
