From a very early age, Brown loved singing and dancing. Inspired by Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke, and Stevie Wonder, he started singing in his small town’s church choir. He immediately stood out with his boy-next-door charm, dancing prowess, and a lovely voice that drew Tina Davis to his hometown.
She discovered him at only 15 years of age and helped him quickly start recording R&B hits that propelled him to success.
Ever since his self-titled debut album in 2005, Brown hit the charts with almost every song he released, receiving Grammy nominations and other awards. He soon became a breakout artist performing live all around the world and stealing girl’s hearts.
His first single Run It! topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His second album, Exclusive (2007), which reached double platinum, brought another number 1 hit on the same chart, Kiss Kiss. More outstanding singles and albums followed, many topping the charts again, and making Brown famous and loved all over the planet.
Not long after releasing his first album, Brown started dipping his toes in the acting waters. He starred in several movies, including This Christmas (2007), Takers (2010), and Think Like a Man (2012). He also appeared in half a dozen TV shows, including The O.C. and Black-ish.
