Diggy was born on March 21, 1995, in New York City. Together with his parents and 5 siblings, he was the focus of an MTV reality show “Run’s House”.
“Run’s House” chronicles the family life of his father, and it debuted when Diggy was only 10 years old.
Although he’s been in the spotlight for a while, taking part in the reality show and soon later starting his own music career, he’s managed to keep his personal life to himself. Not much is known about his love life, education, nor anything else. Since starting in the music industry, he’s managed to keep the media focus on his talents, rather than on any gossip.
Diggy’s been interested in music from a young age, and some of his biggest influences include Jay Z, Kanye West, Wu-Tang Clan, and Nas among others.
In 2009, his first-ever mixtape was released, titled “The First Flight”. It’s garnered the attention of many fans, and it ended up landing him a deal with Atlantic Records.
What really boosted his career, however, was a video of him freestyling Nas’s song Made You Look. The video quickly went viral, and the rest is history.
His debut album Unexpected Arrival came out in 2012 and received greatly positive reviews. Diggy has received several award nominations for his talents, including nominations from the BET Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and NAACP Image Awards nomination among others.
