Jennifer Lopes was born on July 24, 1969, in the Bronx, New York. JLo became interested in music when she was young. As soon as she turned 5, she started taking singing and dancing lessons. Her first tour took place when she was 7 as part of a dancing crew in her school. She started auditioning for movies when she was attending her final year of high school.
Career
JLo started out as a dancer and landed her first professional contract as a dancer on the TV show In Living Color. Soon after, she got her first starring role in the film Selena. After getting a taste of success in the movie industry, JLo turned to music. In 1999, she debuted with her pop album On the 6 and produced the irresistible hit If You Had My Love.
During her music career, she recorded huge hits, including Jenny from the Block, Get Right, and Play. In 2014, JLo was invited to be a judge on the TV show, American Idol. At the same time, she released the I Luh Ya Papi single which hit 77th on the Hot 100 chart. But she did not abandon her career as an actress. Even today, she manages to juggle both careers masterfully.
Her latest song is a bilingual single Dinero in cooperation with Cardi B and DJ Khaled.

Media portals have always covered the turbulent love life of JLo. It all started with the infamous shooting incident outside a New York City nightclub in 1999. At the time, JLo was with the rapper Sean “Puffy” Combs who got charged with gun possession and bribery. Fortunately, he was acquitted of all charges, but he and JLo separated after the incident.
Then there was her romance with Ben Affleck as one of the highest-profile affairs out there generating thousands of catchy headlines across printed and online media.
