Early Life
Born Alani Nicole Vazquez in Brooklyn, New York, La La became interested in the entertainment industry at a young age. When she was only 15, she interned with WQHT-FM, HOT 97.5 in Georgia, and even co-hosted a show with rapper Ludacris.
After graduating from high school, she attended Howard University and earned a degree in Communication.
Career
At the age of 19, La La already had her own show, The B-Syde, at the LA radio station 92.3 The Beat. In 2001, she joined MTV and instantly showed great talent on Direct Effect and Total Request Live.
In 2003, she founded her own production company, Krossover Productions, where she produced a number of successful movies. She also starred in various movies in TV shows, including NYC 22, You Got Served, and Monster Island, among others.
La La also launched a cosmetic line MOTIVES, and a clothing line 5th & Mercer. In 2014, she wrote a book titled The Love Playbook, which quickly became a best-seller. In 2015, she published another book, The Power Playbook.
La La Anthony Relationships: Who Has She Dated?
La La Anthony has been with basketball player Carmelo Anthony since 2003. The couple got engaged in 2004, and had a son, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, in 2007. They married on July 10, 2010.
In April 2017, La La filed for separation after Carmelo was publicly accused of getting another woman pregnant. After several months, La La said they were not divorcing yet. In January 2019, they got back together, but they again officially split by July, after the rumors of Carmelo’s cheating.
