LaKeith Lee Stanfield is a famous American actor and musician. He is well known for his roles in the movies Get Out, Knives Out, and others. He also stars in the television series, Atlanta.

Early Life
LaKeith Stanfield was born August 12, 1991 in San Bernardino, California. He grew up in Riverside and Victorville and has said that he grew up poor and in a dysfunctional family. LaKeith joined his high school’s drama club and was inspired to become an actor when he was 14.
Relationships
LaKeith’s partner is Xosha Roquemore. The two have been in a relationship since 2015. They have one daughter together, who was born in 2017.
Career
LaKeith’s first acting role was in 2008, when he acted in the short film, Short Term 12. It was Destin Daniel Cretton’s thesis project at San Diego State University. This film won the Jury Award for U.S. Short Filmmaking at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009.
LaKeith starred in another short film in 2010 called Gimme Grace and gave up acting shortly after for a few years. During this time, he worked a number of jobs, including at a roofing company, a legal marijuana dispensary, and AT&T. A while after, LaKeith was asked to be in the feature-length adaptation of Short Term 12. The Short Term 12 adaptation was his first role in a feature film.
Since then, LaKeith has appeared in many other feature films, including The Purge: Anarchy, Selma, Miles Ahead, Straight Outta Compton, and Get Out.

Music
Not only does Stanfield act, but he also is a musician. LaKeith uses the stage name “Htiekal” when he performs and is part of the band, Moors. Right now, LaKeith is working on an album titled Self Control. This will be his debut album.
Awards
LaKeith Stanfield has won multiple awards. The first award he won was for his first acting role in the short film Short Term 12. For that film, he won the Best Ensemble Cast Performance at the Chicago International Film Festival. In 2015, LaKeith won the Special Jury Citation award at the 24FPS International Short Film Festival for the film Tracks. His latest award that he has won was received in 2015. This award was the Breakthrough Performer Award for his performance in Straight Outta Compton.
