Early Life
Megan Thee Stallion was born Megan J. Pete on February 15th, 1995, in Houston, Texas. She was raised by her mom, who was an established rapper with hits like Holly-Wood. This young star never neglected her academic career. She attended Prairie View A&M University and Texas Southern University where she majored in Health Administration.
As a kid, Meghan listened to a lot of rap. Her favorite rappers as a kid were Three 6 Mafia and Pimp C. She loved rap and everything that comes with it. She even started rapping at the age of 14.
Career
Meghan started considering rap as a career when she was 18 years old. She recorded many videos and freestyles at that time and shared them on her social media profile.
Her debut track Like a Stallion came out in 2016. She collaborated with Angelo Dorsey on it. The same year, Meghan released mixtape Rich Ratchet.
To promote herself, Meghan was not scared to take part in many freestyle competitions where she competed against a lot of talented local rappers. She made a memorable appearance on The Houston Cypher where she rapped over one of Drake’s beats.
Her first EP Make it Hot came out in 2017. But it wasn’t until the next project that we could see Thee Stallion on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. The Big Ole Freak track turned Meghan into a nation-wide rap star.
