Early Life
NeNe Leaks was born on December 13th, 1967 in Queens, New York. Unlike her three siblings, she was raised by her aunt as opposed to her mother, which she credits for getting her into fashion, which would set the stage for her future career.
NeNe has always had a keen interest in show business, having minor acting roles in all sorts of commercials, shows, and movies ever since her college days. She finished high school and attended college for two years before dropping out to pursue her acting career further.
She is also no stranger to hardship. When times were tough financially, Leaks worked as an exotic dancer. She says that her stripping days taught her important life lessons and gave her a new focus on fashion and show business. She fell in love with glamour ever since.
Career
NeNe Leaks has a vast career when it comes to acting and fashion. She started her first fashion clothing line, which has earned her vast success and support. Her experience with acting brought her more success in establishing her as a fashion guru and getting her clothing line out there.
NeNe now not only enjoys being one of the most popular reality TV stars but also owns numerous businesses. She has also had her hand in comedy, going on tour in 2016 with her own stand-up comedy show called So Nasty, So Rude.

She has enjoyed a mostly scandal-free career but is well known for her rivalry with her ex-friend and co-star from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Marlo Hampton. This rivalry stems from different arguments as the two are both fashion gurus with conflicting opinions.
