Early Life
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Russell showed an exceptional talent for sports when he was in high school. He was the best in the school’s basketball, baseball, and football teams, and was even named a conference player of the year when he was a senior quarterback.
In college, most NFL teams thought he was too small to play for the NFL. Nevertheless, he kept working on his athletic skills, and was finally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2012.
Career
The Seattle Seahawks had a few outstanding quarterbacks on the team already, but Russell instantly impressed the coaches. His performance was so impressive during his first season with the team that he was recognized as the NFL Rookie of the Year.
The following season, he led the Seattle Seahawks to victory in the Super Bowl XLVIII. He continued proving that he was one of the best players of the game in all the subsequent seasons, and he built quite a reputation for both himself and his team.
Russell Wilson is currently the highest-paid player in the NFL. He’s also actively involved in charitable work.

Russell Wilson was married to Ashton Meem, his high-school sweetheart, from 2012 till 2014. They had been dating since 2006.
In 2015, he started dating singer Ciara. They got married on July 6, 2016 and have a daughter Sienna Princess Wilson. Ciara has a son from a previous relationship, Future Zahir Wilson, whom Russell has been a great stepfather to.
