Born Jacques Webster, Travis Scott has been making music ever since he was a teenager in a Houston suburb. After having spent his early childhood with his grandma, Travis moved to Missouri City to live with his dad and graduate from the local private school, Elkins High School.
It was about that time that he recorded and released his first EP and two full-lengths with two separate duos, the Graduates and the Classmates. Travis attended the University of Texas San Antonio for a full year before he dropped out to pursue his true passion, music.
It didn’t take him long to get noticed by T.I. and Kanye West. Around 2012, Travis was working as an in-house producer for Kanye’s GOOD Music and preparing his debut solo mixtape Owl Pharaoh.
In only four years of his LA residency, Travis released multiple full-lengths to critical acclaim. This short period between Rodeo and Astroworld brought him not only the glory he oh-so-deserved but also numerous creative collaborations with hip-hop’s most influential artists – Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa, and Kendrick Lamar included.
But let’s put Travis Scott’s enormous musical talent and creative potential aside for a moment and talk about his greatest achievement to date – Scott’s love story with the world’s youngest self-made billionaire Kylie Jenner and her mega-famous family, the Kardashians.
The lovebirds welcomed their adorable daughter Stormi to the Kardashian/Jenner clan in 2018 and have been “baecationing” ever since.
