Early Life
Winnie Harlow was born in the Greater Toronto Area on July 27, 1994. Her parents are Lisa Brown and Windsor young. Harlow has two sisters.
At age 4, Winnie was diagnosed with vitiligo, a chronic skin condition that causes loss of skin pigmentation on areas of the skin. Due to her condition, Winnie Harlow was bullied by other kids during her childhood. She was called hurtful names, like cow and zebra. This bullying was the reason Winnie changed schools many times and dropped out of high school.
Relationships
Winnie Harlow is currently dating the basketball player, Kyle Kuzma. The two started dating during the pandemic and Harlow confirmed the relationship in the summer of 2020.
Career
Model and television personality Tyra Banks discovered Winnie Harlow on Instagram and Winnie joined as a contestant on America’s Next Top Model cycle 21. She was eliminated in the second week of finals, but returned after completing the comeback series. She was later on eliminated again and earned sixth place by the end of the season.
After appearing on America’s Next Top Model, Winnie Harlow began to get many modeling gigs. She walked for Ashish, a clothing brand, in London Fashion Week in 2014. The following year, she modeled for the clothing brand Diesel and was featured in both Complex and Cosmopolitan magazines. In 2018, she was also a part of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Since the start of her modeling career, Harlow has been in many different advertising campaigns for various brands, including Fendi, Nike, MAC, Puma, Marc Jacobs, and more.
Awards
Winnie Harlow has won three awards throughout her career. In 2015, she won the Beauty Idol award at Gala Spa Awards and earned the Role Model award from Portuguese GQ Men of The Year. Harlow won her third award in 2017: The Editor’s Award at the Glamour Awards.
