Chase Bank just giving out billions like this?
In less than a week, another report of Chase Bank depositing billions into an account has surfaced online.
According to Fox 11 LA, a couple in Baton Rouge, Louisiana received $50 billion. Darren James stated that $50 billion was deposited into his wifes account earlier this month and they were surprised.
In an interview, he stated, “Im like, Where did that come from? He continued, And all we were thinking was whos going to be knocking on our door … because we dont know anybody with that type of money to begin with.”
Once the couple realized there was an issue, they contacted Chase Bank.
“We knew it wasnt ours. We didnt earn it, so we couldnt do anything with it,” he continued.
After four days, Chase corrected the problem and stated there was a technical glitch. “We had a technical glitch over a week ago impacting a limited number of accounts,” a company spokesperson told FOX Television Stations in a statement Monday. “The issue has been resolved and those accounts are now showing accurate balances.
As previously reported, Chase Bank reportedly deposited almost a billion dollars in an account and had trouble giving the money back.
Reports state that Julia Yonkowski went to withdraw $20 from her local Chase Bank. Before attempting the withdrawal, she checked her balance and realized she had racks, on racks, on racks to the sum of a billion dollars. Someone apparently deposited $999,985,855.94 to her account.
While most people wouldve probably been excited, Julia stated she was horrified. Oh my God, I was horrified. I know most people would think they won the lottery but I was horrified, she said.
Julia is adamant that she doesnt want to have to repay the money because its not hers. I know Ive read stories about people that took the money or took out money, and then they had to repay it and I wouldnt do that anyway because its not my money, she said.
She also stated that since having the money deposited into her account, shes tried to contact the branch to return the money but hasnt received any help.
