Chile! One thing about Cher, she is unapologetic about her love life. During a TV interview this week, the 77-year-old opened up about keeping a younging on her arm and why she prefers a lil’ age gap!
As mentioned, Cher sat for a 1-on-1 with Jennifer Hudson and spilled the tea about her non-traditional love life! She first spoke about turning down Elvis Presley because she felt “nervous,” by his reputation. The singer admitted to being “shy…around men” outside of her work, which collected awards for over three decades. Then, that conversation led to the type of men she likes to date.
“That’s why reason I got with young men. Men my age or older, well now they’re all dead, but before, they were always terrified to approach me. And younger men were the only ones that…”
She then agreed with Jennifer that they’re “bold,” adding “Raised by women like me.”

Most recently, Cher has been romantically linked to music executive Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards since 2022. They’re 40 years apart, and the singer will be celebrating her 78th birthday come May 20th!
In October, she told PEOPLE that AE is a “beautiful man” whom she’s been having the “best time” with.
“No matter what happens, I love being with him. He makes me laugh, and we have fun. What I learned is that its never too late. If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, Well, this is doomed. But weve been together a year, and if it was just a year, it wouldve been worth it. Ive had the best time,” Cher said.
Their romance seems to be going steady, with no recent reports of a split. On April 1, they pulled up to the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet with PDA energy.
Meanwhile, Alexander’s ex-girlfriend, Amber Rose, isn’t pressed about their romance! She told Jason Lee in March that AE’s relationship with Cher keeps him responsible, especially as a dad to their toddler.
“Im very happy that hes with Cher because it creates stability for when [our] son goes over there,” Amber said.
Rose clarified that she’s not concerned with who AE is sleeping with as long as he’s “a present father.”
