Chloe Bailey is finally spilling the tea and sharing her thoughts on her sister Halle’sprivate pregnancy. As The Shade Room previously reported, in October, the 23-year-old was initially speculated to be expecting her first child.
However, Halle and her boyfriend remained private on the matter. Then, earlier this month, they revealed they welcomed their son, Halo.
According to PEOPLE, Chloe Bailey was in attendance at the Urban One Honors: Best In Black event in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, January 20.
Bailey told the outlet that her sister’s pregnancy was the “best-kept secret ever.” Additionally, the 25-year-old shared that she is “on cloud nine” following the birth of her nephew Halo.
“Shes an auntie, shes an auntie!”she told PEOPLE.
Furthermore, Bailey shared that it was “easy” to keep her sister’s secret.
“We just ignore it. I would tell her, like, take social media off your phone, you know, I keep all her other secrets. So this was just another one in the books,” she explained.
Bailey’s red-carpet statements appear to be the first time the singer has publicly commented on her sister’s pregnancy. However, Bailey publicly acknowledged her sister’s major milestone earlier this month.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Bailey shared a throwback TikTok of her and Halle earlier this month. In the clip, the pair danced to Sexy Redd’s single ‘Rich Baby Daddy,’ featuring Drake and SZA.
Additionally, Halle appeared several months pregnant.
Furthermore, Chloe also shared the clip on X, formerly known as Twitter, with a few laughing emojis.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Halle Bailey and DDG revealed they welcomed their son on Saturday, January 6. At the time, they shared a photo holding one of his hands. In the picture, the infant’s bracelet reads, “Halo.”
“even though were a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you ” Bailey wrote in the caption of the photo.
A few days later, DDG revealed why they kept Halle’s pregnancy and their son’s birth private.
“Im a dad. Im a dad, yall. I have a son I have a baby boy. Hes a newborn he was actually born last year [but] we were just waiting on the right time to basically break the news or whatever. Its been a lot of speculation,” he explained.
