On Tuesday, September 15, Chris Brown took to Instagram to apparently share a now-deleted post which featured the caption, “I don’t want the award anymore my brother. You went on with don lemon and started tap dancing for them folk. Yall keep that s**t.”

On his Instagram Story, he continued, writing, “Funny thing is… YALL CAME TO ME WITH THIS ! NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND I was minding my damn business. My shows in Dallas were already sold out. I ain’t to be honored because I knew some s**t like this would happen…”

More On Rep. Venton Jones Apologizing To Abuse Survivors Over Chris Brown’s Congressional Recognition

As The Shade Room previously reported, over the weekend, Texas Rep. Venton Jones and U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett honored Chris Brown and Usher with a Congressional Record Recognition amid their ongoing R&B tour.

Subsequently, Chris Brown publicly thanked the politicians for the recognition, per The Shade Room.

However, Rep. Venton Jones ultimately issued an apology to women and abuse survivors offended by his honoring Brown, per The Shade Room.
