Aww, Roomies! Claressa Shields and Papoose are melting hearts out here. The couple hit up the ‘Tamron Hall Show’ and had the cutest convo about how they met. Pap kept it real and said he was stunned by Claressa’s beauty. As for the GWOAT? She didn’t hold back, she was feeling him too and decided to shoot her shot! Let’s get into it!
Papoose and Claressa pulled up to the Tamron Hall show with all the tea on how they went from friends to lovers and lowkey, it sounds like a fairytale. The duo shared that they first met at a Shakur Stevenson fight. Pap revealed that he was excited to meet Claressa since he has been a fan of hers for a very long time. But Claressa was actually the one to make the first move, sliding in his DMs and hitting him with VIP tickets for her fight.
“He’s a fan of boxing, so I figured why not come see the greatest fight. But, I did recognize right away, ‘I’m like that’s a good looking man.’ You gotta be blind to not say he’s a good looking man. That’s all I’m saying,” Shields said.
Now here’s where the fairytale vibes kick in. After months of texting, they started swapping poems back and forth. They even cooked up one together, and Claressa made sure to flex that she raps too so she slid some bars Pap’s way. Then Tamron jumped in, asking if they would consider turning the poems into a book or song. Papoose co-signed quick, saying they should because Claressa is “really good.”
The Roomies were definitely smitten over Papoose and Claressa’s chemistry, dropping heart eye emojis left and right in The Shade Room’s comment section. Some even mentioned noticing how Pap lights up when he talks about Claressa.
