Claressa Shields says she wants Beyonc to walk her out to a fight before she retires. Furthermore, the boxer also shared which other celebrities she’d like to accompany her to the ring in a hilarious interview, and her fans are howling.
Claressa Shields says she wants Beyonce to walk her out to the boxing ring for a fight before she retires. The professional boxer made the revelation during a hilarious interview on ‘The Lou Young Show‘ on Monday, August 10, and fans are in stitches. Shields was asked who the top five influential women she’d like to walk her out to the boxing ring before a fight were, and she quickly responded that Beyonce would be the first.
“Let me tell you something,”she said. “Beyonce comes first. Nobody is above Beyonce.”
Then Shields looked into the camera and addressed the singer directly.
“Beyonce, before I retire, I need you to walk me out,” she added. “By the time, I, when I’m retiring at 38. So whenever you find the time in your busy, beautiful schedule…”
Young interjected to joke, “I just I know I can’t walk with Beyonc cuz that that she probably has extra security.”
The boxing pro also listed tennis star Serena Williams during the interview.
“Two, Serena Williams,” she said. “Come on now. That woman can have a tennis racket in her hand and hit the ball and then go into a split.”
Shields also noted Academy-Award-winning actresses Viola Davis and Angela Bassett, as well as retired boxer Ann Wolfe.
“Ann Wolfe,” she said. “That’s a boxer. It’s a powerhouse. She to me was better than Leila Ali.”
