Newly-elected Democratic congresswoman Rashida Tlaib said today that she will go against her party leader’s wishes and will introduce a resolution to launch impeachment proceedings against #Trump.

Just to give some background on Tlaib, she made history this past midterm election when she and Ilhan Omar were the first two Muslim-American women elected to Congress. She also made her presence known back in January when she vowed to “go in and impeach the motherf****r,” in reference to Trump, according to @abcnews.

Now Tlaib isn’t the first to try and get Donnie out of the #WhiteHouse, as there have been several House Democrats that have already reintroduced impeachment resolutions in this session of Congress, so it may be unlikely that House leaders will consider it.

But Tlaib has been adamant about getting Trump out of there as she has accused Trump of obstructing justice and working to benefit financially of the presidency, a claim the Democrats feel is not far fetched.

The Dems are concerned that Trump has violated a constitutional prohibition on foreign payments to the president while in office, and similar restrictions on domestic payments.

So in other words, those congressional leaders trying to get him out aren’t just doing so out of hate, they’re trying to bring forth enough evidence to show that Trump has been breaking the law.

“If we don’t hold impeachment proceedings today, start them today and hold him accountable to following [the] United States Constitution, think about that, this is not going to be the last CEO running for president of the United States, this is not going to be the last person that is trying to get away with this,” Tlaib said.

We’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date on Tlaib’s efforts to get Trump impeached.
