Cory Booker Adds A Little Shade To His Inauguration Day Post With Girlfriend Rosario Dawson

Roommates, as Inauguration Day finally came many were in full petty mode as they said a final goodbye to Donald Trump—and that also included Senator Cory Booker. Along with his girlfriend Rosario Dawson, Cory Booker embraced his petty side with a post that was filled with perfectly timed shade towards Trump.

Cory Booker is generally known to be pretty poised and professional, but he finally let his petty flag fly with an Instagram post during the inauguration festivities. In the photo, he and longtime girlfriend Rosario Dawson were seen wearing matching masks and coats.

However, it was the brutally funny caption that was the cherry on top of a shade-filled day of jabs at Trump’s expense. His caption read, “It was very cold out today. It was -45.”

Now, if you caught that shade as quickly as we did, then you certainly had a laugh. It’s no secret that Cory Booker, along with several others members of the Senate, were not fans of Trump at all during his time in office—so the shade was expected.

Cory and Rosario were clearly enjoying the festivities, as they were repeatedly seen smiling and waving at the crowds as they took their seats at the limited-sized ceremony.

The couple also wore matching masks made by Dawson’s company Studio 189. In November, the actress, 41, shared a black and white photo of the couple on Instagram in which she congratulated  Cory Booker, 51, for defending his seat as New Jersey senator.

“So proud of and grateful for you my love. I got to vote for you here in New Jersey and am so glad that you overwhelmingly and rightfully won your seat again. To know your leadership will continue to guide us with love, brilliance, patience, grace and effectiveness is the kind of representation and hope we need.”
