David Banner And Lyfe Jennings Get Into Heated Debate At Town Hall Discussion

Yesterday hundreds of people showed up to the House of Hope church in Decatur, GA for a town hall discussion focused on race. With all of the recent murders, many gathered to voice their opinions.

The discussion was hosted by radio personality Ricky Smiley, and a few other celebrities in attendance included, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Tyrese, David Banner and Lyfe Jennings.

According to WSB-TV, many people were so passionate that these discussions turned into very heated debates. One of those debates went down between David Banner and Lyfe Jennings.

Banner suggested that police officers should face financial or even physical consequences for their inappropriate behavior. However, Lyfe Jennings strongly disagreed, which sparked their debate. Nonetheless, Tyrese was there to diffuse the spark between the two.

David Banner told Channel 2’s Matt Johnson, “I’m tired and am glad that black people are fired up. They should be.”

Also present at the discussion was Dr. Bernice King, the daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She had this to say, “We have got to find a way to get on one accord in our approach.”
