Diddy Congratulates Former Bad Boy Artist Shyne As He Runs For The House Of Representatives In Belize

Roommates, it appears that congratulations are in order for former Bad Boy artist Shyne—and Diddy is the first person to publicly send good vibes his way. Shyne is currently running for a seat on the House of Representatives in his native country of Belize and Diddy showed him some major love on Instagram.

Shyne has made a complete pivot into a new career in politics following his early 2000s success as part of Diddy’s iconic Bad Boy record label. In an Instagram post, Diddy showed his support for Shyne as he is currently in the race for a spot on the House of Representatives in Belize.

Diddy’s message read:

“BELIZE I’m so proud of my brother @shyne_bz and the journey he is on. He is running for the House of Representatives and needs your support. #BadBoy4Life.”

You may recall that Shyne’s music career came to an abrupt halt when he was convicted in Diddy’s 1999 case of attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment. Shyne was then deported to his home country of Belize following his release from prison.

Although it may seem that a political career for Shyne is far-fetched—it’s actually not, as his father was elected the Prime Minister of Belize in 2008. If Shyne is elected in the upcoming race as the United Democratic Party’s candidate for Belize House Of Representatives, he will succeed his uncle.
