Whew! Not all mogul moves come with champagne and celebration Sometimes, its about making tough calls, literally. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who once ruled the charts and the boardroom, just had to face one of the hardest moments any parent could imagine and it had nothing to do with music, fashion, or Forbes lists.
According to TMZ, after being sentenced to 50 months in federal prison, Diddy got on the phone with the mother of his youngest child, Dana Tran. But, during the call, Dana put their 2-year-old daughter, Love, on the line. And, thats when things reportedly turned heart-wrenching. The toddler asked her father the innocent but devastating question: when she could see him and where he was. At the time, Diddy was being held at MDC Brooklyn. We’re told he became emotional and choked up when Love said, I miss you, Daddy. Diddy allegedly replied, I miss you and love you very much, Love. He also gently told her, Daddy’s away for a little while, and promised hed see her very soon.
Love and Dana live in Los Angeles, but made the trip to NYC last week for the sentencing. While Dana attended the court hearing, Love apparently stayed at the hotel with a babysitter. The moment clearly hit hard this upcoming Wednesday marks Loves 3rd birthday. And, it’s yet another milestone her father wont be there for.
Sources say Diddy hasnt seen his daughter outside of prison since August 2024, when the trio visited the Miami Childrens Museum. Now, Diddys future remains uncertain as he waits to find out where hell serve his time, but word is hes requested a pardon from President Trump.
As reported, Diddy is pulling out all the stops and might be calling in a political favor from way back. Just days after being sentenced to 50 months in federal prison, Diddy is officially looking for his get out of jail free card and yes, it involves none other than former President Donald Trump. During a sit-down in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump said that Diddy had reached out asking for a presidential pardon. A lot of people have asked me for pardons, Trump said. I call him Puff Daddy; he has asked me for a pardon.
Now with Diddy facing over four years behind bars for transportation to engage in prostitution charges, legal experts say a pardon might be his best shot. Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani told Fox News Digital:
“This isnt the end of the legal road for Diddy, though. He can and will appeal, and he has arguments that the judge improperly calculated the guidelines and considered acquitted conduct.” He added, “Expect a strong lobbying effort by Diddys team in the coming days and weeks. This story is far from over.”
