Diddy & J. Cole Link Up Seemingly Squashing Their Beef

Roommates, it looks like it’s all “Love” between Diddy and J. Cole per his newest Instagram post. It seems that the men have buried the hatchet and let their beef die down.

If you recall, after a hiatus, Cole finally dropped his new album ‘The Off Season’ last month. Cole had time and brought up his alleged beef with Diddy from an incident at a 2013 Video Music Awards (VMA) party. In the song ‘Let.Go.My.Hand.’ he rapped, “Couple wins, couple losses, some broken up too quick to call it. My last scrap was with Puff Daddy. Who would’ve thought it? I bought that ni**a album in seventh grade and played it so much. You would’ve thought my favorite rapper was Puff. Back then, I ain’t know s**t, now I know too much.”

Everyone has their own idea of what happened between the men, but on a recent episode of the Sayless Kazlow podcast, Cole’s manager Ibrahim “IB” Hamad doubled down on the tweet that he made last year, shutting down the rumor that the issue with Diddy & Cole was over a disagreement about Kendrick Lamar’s verse on Big Sean’s ‘Control.’

If you recall, Kendrick came for everyone in his verse. “But this is hip-hop, and them ni**as should know what time it is. And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller.” He ended the verse by stating, spiting, “I got love for you all, but I’m tryna murder you ni**as.”

In the episode, IB said, “It was definitely not like he was defending Kendrick or something. It wasn’t like, ‘Don’t talk to Kendrick like that!’”

Either way, no matter what, it’s good to see the two men come together!
