Diddy’s “Dance-A-Thon” Raises Over $3.7M For COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Hip hop mogul, Diddy, spent his Easter Sunday raising money for COVID-19 relief efforts, by hosting a “Dance-A-Thon.” Playing his catalog and a number of other songs, the mogul took us back to nostalgia, while raising money through dancing and having an all-around good time.

Diddy’s company, Ciroc, kicking off the first donation of $1 million, and partnering  with Team Love, the all day and night “Dance-A-Thon” celebration raised $3,730,765.00—according to the Direct Relief website—at the time of this typing.

“Thank you for working together to help those in need and for spreading LOVE through your generous donation! Total amount raised by Team Love: $3,730,765.00”

The money raised will help medical workers in underserved communities who are fighting this pandemic, also according to the website.

”Team Love has partnered with Direct Relief, a nonprofit humanitarian aid organization that rushes critical medicines and requested supplies to communities affected by poverty or emergencies throughout the world. All donations will support Direct Relief’s emergency response to COVID-19. Direct Relief supports healthcare organizations and professionals who care for medically underserved communities. Team Love also cares for these communities, which are often Black & Brown and disproportionately affected by emergencies like this pandemic.
