DJ Envy responds to Sharelle Rosado of the new real estate reality TV show, Selling Tampa,’ and doubled down on his claims that he wasn’t coming for her and the cast of the new Netflix series. Yesterday we reported on Sharelles comments made on Cocktails With Queens after Envy made an Instagram post last week comparing Selling Tampa to Selling Sunset from a production standpoint. Although Envys previous comments werent made in malicious intent, Sharelle wasnt having it.
While speaking to the co-hosts she said, If he paid attention in the beginning when we were talking, were stepping into a luxury division, and we made huge deals on the show. We got with a developer and we are listing all his listings, multimillion-dollar listings, he didnt pay attention to that. As Sharelle continued she brought up a deal made by beauty company Mielle Organics owner Monique Rodriguez who wanted a minority-owned brokerage to represent her.
Today, on The Breakfast Club, Envy decided to clear the air about the post he made six days ago. The DJ doubled down on his opinions about the castmates and made it clear there wasnt an issue. The root of the issue wasnt the show, but the depiction of Black women which Envy didnt like.
While speaking to co-host Angela Yee he explained that the show was edited to make Selling Tampa focused more on the drama instead of selling homes in comparison to Selling Sunset. Envy said, I don’t like how they do that to our Black women, but if my Black sisters are fine with it, then y’all fine with it.
Roomies, do you think this was a misunderstanding ?!
