DMX’s Brain Function Has Reportedly Showed No Improvement–His Family Faces Hard Decision

As many prayers from around the world continue to pour in for DMX, it was previously reported that critical brain function tests were scheduled for Wednesday to check on the functioning of his brain. However, there have reportedly been no changes when it comes to the functioning of his brain.

According to TMZ, sources revealed that the tests performed on Wednesday showed no improvement in brain activity. It has been almost a week since he was rushed to the hospital after suffering from an apparent overdose. As mentioned before he had little brain function after being deprived of oxygen for nearly half an hour.

At the moment he still remains in the coma and sources told the site that the test results are “not good.” TMZ reports that they were told that Steve Rifkind, DMX’s manager, and longtime friend has been asked to fly to New York, in what they are claiming is a sign that things are not going well.

As previously reported, a prayer vigil was held by hospital staff and also family, friends, and supporters as they sent out prayers and comforted each other with hopes that things will make a change for the better.

Steve Rifkind told TMZ earlier within the week that once the test results were in “the family would determine what’s best from there.”

We are keeping DMX and his loved ones lifted in prayer during this time.

We’ll continue to provide updates as this story develops.
