Donald Trump Reassures The Country That States Are Reopening “Safely” In Viral Tweet

Roommates, the closing of businesses in the United States happened pretty quickly, and it looks like the reopening is happening sooner than we may have thought. Shortly after Donald Trump announced that governors would be in charge of bringing their individual states back to normalcy, Gov. Kemp of Georgia hopped on the opportunity.

While there has been a large amount of criticism about Gov. Kemp’s decision, Trump is making sure the public knows that states are reopening “safely”. He says the country is starting to reopen again, and everyone, including the elderly, will be living their best lives.

There is a lot of skepticism about how the state of Georgia will fair once businesses are reopened, as well as many unanswered questions. Will the state still have to adhere to social distancing guidelines? Will there be a curfew to follow? Will residents have to wear masks in order to enter businesses? All of these things have not come up in the reopening conversation.

Other government officials, however, are urging people to stay home as long as they can, despite having the okay from Go.v Kemp. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, for instance, has a clear message for Atlantans–STAY HOME.

What are your thoughts on states reopening this early in the pandemic, Roomies? Let us know in the comments!
