eBay Is Preventing Users From Selling Nipsey Hussle’s Memorial Booklets On Their Site

Since the passing of #NipseyHussle, so many people have come together in ways we have not ever witnessed before. As we continue to mourn his passing, his legacy will continue to impact the lives of so many people!

Last Thursday, Nipsey’s home going ceremony packed Los Angeles’ Staples Center and those who were in attendance received booklets of the memorial service that commemorated Nipsey’s life. Unfortunately, some of those booklets later appeared on #eBay where they were being sold for hundreds of dollars.

Thankfully, eBay is shutting it down #Roommates! According to @TMZ_TV, an eBay spokesperson confirmed they will be cracking down on anyone trying to profit off of Nipsey’s tragic death. The spokesperson said: “These booklets are prohibited under eBay’s policies. Any items that attempt to profit from human tragedy or suffering are not allowed to be sold on eBay.”

Taking things a step further, eBay has also mention not only will they be removing the memorial programs but they will also be educating sellers who have listed them as well about why their item is prohibited.

Similarly, to the memorial booklets turning up online, free tickets to Nipsey’s ceremony were also being sold almost immediately after they became available for California residents through Ticket Master.

It’s awesome to see eBay cracking down on the issue, especially during a time like this. Clearly Nipsey’s passing has brought a great deal of unity and self-reflection for many people. His legacy will live on as so many people continue to immortalize him with tattoos, clothing, basketball courts, music and more.
