Theres no doubt that Kanye Wests latest album is highly anticipated.. even with all the name changes. Nonetheless, the wait is almost over as it finally releases tomorrow!
WellHot 97s Ebro Darden revealed on air today that he attended Kanyes listening party in NYC last night, and this new project is something to be excited about. Although he couldnt spill too much about the project, he did reveal that the album is definitely something that is rap heavy.
He also hinted that Kanye threw some shade at Kim Kardashian’s ex Ray J saying, “There was some punchlines Kanye says to Ray J, bro. He says, ‘Me and Ray J would probably be friends if we wasnt in love with the same’ he says ‘bitch,’ actually. And then goes on to say, ‘you might have hit it first, but Im riiiich, though!’ And the way its done, its hilarious. Its not serious. Its funny.”
But on a lighter note, his co-host Rosenberg asked him to compare it to either My Dark Twisted Fantasy or Yeezus and Darden responded, I think it gives you a little of all of that. It gives you a little of everything you love about Kanye West. Its more melodic than Yeezus Youre gonna get those soul vocals, theres some choir singing Theres some Chicago representatives on the album.
Also amongst his conversation with Ye, he said, I want to talk about how amazing the music, the drums, the basslines and the song structure is. Ebro co-signed that the music is definitely crazy, and if anyone knows Ebro, he definitely tells it like it is.
