The daughter of the late Eric Garner has been listed in critical condition after suffering from a heart attack Saturday night.
According to the New York Daily News, family members said that Erica Garner, a mother of two, was unable to breathe on her own. She was reportedly on life support in ICU in a Brooklyn hospital.
Esaw Snipes-Garner, Ericas mother said, She is still with us. Shes fighting.
Snipes-Garner said that her daughters condition was brought on due to an asthma attack.
Erica gave birth to a baby boy back and August. Her mother said following her pregnancy she suffered her first cardiac arrest. Snipes-Garner continued to say that the pregnancy put a strain on her daughter’s heart, which doctors discovered was enlarged.
Tanya Goode, Ericas foster mother said, “Erica is on life support. She cant breathe on her own. So, shes not doing well.
Back in 2014, Ericas father Eric Garner died after being placed in a chokehold by an NYPD officer. Following her fathers death, Erica became an advocate against police brutality.
